Moscow and Kiev have something to talk about in the context of bilateral relations, but the Ukrainian side is demonstrating unpredictable actions. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”.

“There is something to talk about here, but we do not know how ready the Kiev leadership is for this, which, rather, is now demonstrating unpredictable actions,” said Peskov (quoted by TASS).

He noted that Russia and Ukraine have problems in bilateral relations, but they were “frozen” and interrupted by the Ukrainian side. “They (relations between Moscow and Kiev. – RBK) absolutely degraded, ”the Kremlin spokesman concluded.

Kremlin says it has not received offers to meet between Putin and Zelensky

The issue of a possible meeting of the presidents began to be discussed in the spring. On September 2, Peskov said that a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky this year is hardly possible. He clarified that in terms of preparing negotiations, there are problems with identifying topics for discussion: according to Peskov, President Zelensky would like to discuss Crimea, and the Russian side believes that “there are no substances for discussion there.”
