Helsinki’s Jokerit continues its convincing upward trajectory in Mesti.
On Friday evening, the team visited Kiekko-Vantaa and left the home team completely under the spell with a 6–0 win.
The match was resolved quickly: in the first 12 minutes Jokerit already took a 3–0 lead. Oliver Sun succeeded twice, and Jere Henriksson hit his first hit of the night.
In the second period, Henriksson scored two more goals, thus completing the hat-trick at 33.59 minutes of the game. His second hit gave him his 11th goal of the season.
The final score of the third period was 6–0, sealed by Jokerit, who made his debut Ville Leskinen.
Henriksson (3+2) and Alexander Forslundwho collected four assists.
With the Jokerit goal Wine Vehviläinen made 17 saves to secure a shutout. The team continues to win, as the previous match against Hermes also ended with a clear victory of 6–1.
With the victory, Jokerit rose to the top of the league table of Mestis with 36 points.
