At 4 o’clock this afternoon Niels Destadsbader and mayor Dirk De fauw gave the starting signal for VRT’s solidarity action. Dirk De fauw, mayor of Bruges: “The return is almost impossible to calculate because we are on TV and radio 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That is priceless. The catering industry is very satisfied.”
About 5,000 actions have been set up to raise money for more than 270 projects against loneliness. Last year, the Warmest Week raised almost 8 million euros for the theme ‘growing up without worries’. On Christmas Eve we will know how much this edition has raised.
