Familiar favorites in Easter eggs hold their ground, grocery stores say. Among Munie’s collectible products, high-quality characters and overall brands are currently interesting.

We found out from grocery store chains which are the trendiest chocolate surprise eggs for the coming Easter.
Sales manager of the S group supermarket Venla Kuoppamäki says that there have been no significant changes in the most popular chocolate eggs compared to last year.
The most popular surprise eggs in the store chain are Kinder eggs in different sizes, Hello kitty chocolate surprise egg, American pastilleja chocolate egg, Moomin surprise eggs and Mignon eggs.
– Various collectible series have been popular this year, for example Hello kitty and Moomin, which have gained a lot of visibility on social media this year. In addition, surprise eggs with cloth “overall badges” continue to be popular from last year. These can be found, for example, in My little pony and Pokemon surprise eggs, says Kuoppamäki.

K group’s product manager by Katri Melander according to both last year and this year, Easter eggs have been of interest to consumers well before Easter.
– Familiar favorites like Kinder surprise 20g and Mignon egg 52g have attracted interest in chocolate eggs. However, this year’s Fazer novelty American pastilleja chocolate egg 65g has also become one of the best-selling chocolate eggs, says Melander.

Other Kinder eggs, Hello kitty and Moomin surprise chocolate eggs are also among the best sellers at the K group.
– The collection trend seems to be continuing this year as well. High-quality, collectible figurines and clothing labels have attracted the attention of collectors, such as students. In particular, Hello kitty Easter eggs and the collectible figures inside have been of great interest to consumers for a few years now, and their sales have continued to grow this year, says Melander.
– The Kinder Joy 20 g Stranger Things collector’s batch gathered interest at the beginning of the year and increased sales of the product in the off-season. At the moment, the collector’s item is Minecraft, which has also seemed to be of interest to consumers.
Lidl selection manager Essi Yli-Junnilan according to the same familiar products are favorites year after year.
– Small, filled chocolate eggs are still interesting to customers. Easter eggs haven’t really lost any favorites in recent years, but the selection of Easter chocolates has expanded over the years, and alongside the classics, we also like to enjoy new flavors, says Yli-Junnila.
Lidl’s most popular chocolate eggs this Easter are, in addition to Kinder surprise eggs and Mignon eggs, Favorina’s different chocolate eggs, including milk chocolate and filled chocolate eggs, children’s Easter eggs (small filled chocolate eggs), cream chocolate eggs (larger chocolate eggs filled with cream) and filled milk chocolate balls.
– Chocolate eggs filled with cream and various surprise eggs, such as Pipsa Pig or Pokemon surprise eggs, have grown in popularity in recent years, says Yli-Junnila.
The new product for the coming Easter at Lidl is the Dubai chocolate egg.
– Dubai chocolate has been a big trend, and inspired by this, we introduced Dubai chocolate eggs for sale this year. The product has been liked by our customers and the lot has already been almost completely sold out.
