Slovak cyclist Marián Kiss is dead.
Slovak 42-year-old cyclist Marián Kiss is dead. The Jihlavská 24 MTB competition informs about this on its website.
Kiss competed in mountain biking in a 24-hour race in the Czech Republic.
The Slovak newspaper Nový Čas reports Kiss fell very badly in the race. According to the newspaper, Kiss died of his injuries from the fall later in the hospital.
According to the Jihlavská 24 MTB newsletter, the cyclist received treatment immediately after the fall at the race site.
– We offer our deepest condolences to Marián and his family, the press release says.
The race last weekend was completely stopped after 12 hours due to Kiss’s accident and the race was no longer cycling.
