The gun went off at the hotel – Norway’s star out of Sunday’s race

Norway’s biathlon star Sturla Lägreid the gun accidentally went off on Friday at the team’s hotel in Lenzerheide.

The man had been dry shooting and forgot that there was a charge inside the rifle. Kuti clicked on the hotel wall. Fortunately, no one was injured in the situation.

However, Lägreid violated safety regulations, which is why the man will not be seen on Sunday in the joint start race, which starts at 3:40 p.m.

– I am deeply sorry for this incident and deeply apologize to the entire biathlon family, my teammates and the hotel owner for what happened. This is a brutal reminder to me and all biathlon athletes of how important safety routines really are, Lägreid said in the biathlon association’s press release.

The 26-year-old superstar has won, among other things, one Olympic gold, five World Championship golds, three World Championship silvers and one World Championship bronze.
