Fifty-nine crews representing ten brands that run dream cars such as Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, to which the Corvette Racing has been added this year: these are the salient numbers of the 3 hours of the GT World Challenge Europe by AWS which is staged from tomorrow at the Monza national car. Sixteen cars in the Pro category, ten in the Gold, 17 in the Silver and 16 in the bronze. Among the 176 pilots at the start (each car lifts three, except for a crew with only two drivers) there is a large patrol of Italian drivers, including Antonio Fuoco and Alessandro Pier Guidi, winners of the latest editions of the 24 hours of Le Mans with the Hypercar of Ferrari (here they guide the 296 GT). Teammate of the Calabrian pilot will be Arthur Leclerc, Charles’ brother. At the wheel of a Ford Mustang – Silver category – instead David Schumacher, son of Ralf and nephew Michael. The Monzese stage is the second of the endurance season inaugurated on the French track of the Castellet and won by the BMW GT3 of the WRT team led by the Belgian Ugo de Wilde, Charles Weerts and the South African Kelvin Van der Linden. Next to the GT World Challenge will also be on the track, the Lamborghini Super Trophy (42 cars) and McLaren Trophy Europe (16) will also be on the track.

GT World Challenge Europe, the program

The program provides that on Friday from 9 to 18 (free admission to the public) is dedicated to free practice and tests. Saturday activity on the track from 9 to 17.45 with free practice (10.10-12.10) and pre-qualifying (15.30-16.30) of the GT World Challenge, the qualifications (9-9.50) and Race 1 (14.25-15.15) of Lamborghini, free 3 (12.20-12.35), qualifications 1 (12.40-13) and race 1 (17-17.45) McLaren. The entrance costs 20 euros and includes free access to the paddock and all available stands. The pilots will be available for a session of autographs in pit lane from 13.15 to 13.45. On Sunday it will start at 9 with the McLaren single-brand that will first see the cars take sides for free practice 4 (9-9.15) and the qualifications 2 (9.20-9.40), followed by the qualifications of the GT World Challenge (9.50-10.50), then the second lambo and McLaren races respectively from 11.20 to 12.10 and from 12.40 to 13.25. The 3 hours will start at 3 pm (directed on the YouTube channel of the championship).

Method of entry

The entrance will cost on Sunday 25 euros in the same way as Saturday or free access to the paddock and all available stands. Saturday for the Lamborghini and McLaren races, on Sunday obviously also for the GT World Challenge. The subscription for the two days costs 35 euros. Admission is free for children up to 6 years, from 7 to 11 years the ticket costs 1 euro. Facilitations for Under 24 and Over 65 and ACI members are planned. Who has purchased a valid entrance ticket for the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, daily or by subscription, and has chosen to add the Grid Walk ticket, will be able to collect the identification bracelet at the Monza Circuit shop, inside the circuit, Saturday and Sunday. For retreat it will be necessary to present both tickets. The bracelet allows access to the starting grid before the start of the competitions scheduled for Saturday, Lamborghini Super Trophy Race 1 and McLaren Trophy Europe 1 and Sunday, Lamborghini Super Trophy Race 2, McLaren Trophy Europe Race 2 and the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. Not only a track: there will be the opportunity to meet the pilots in Fanzone on Sunday from 12.15 to 12.45. In the same area you can dance and sing thanks to DJ Cristian Ambrosini who will perform on Saturday from 13.45 to 15.45 and from 17 to 18; On Sunday from 12 to 14. Always near the fanzone there is a children’s space and food trucks (which will also be at P9 on Sunday, Food Court – Tribuna 26). On Sunday the national anthem will be played by the “Angelo Masciadri” Alpine Fanfara of Asso (Como).
