Finland’s under-18 girls’ national team lost to the United States 2–4 in the World Cup semi-final.

Only 14 years old Tinja Tapani brought Finland to 1–1 in the second set. However, the USA managed to get away with it Nelly Andersson narrowed the set to 2–3 at the end.

The ending wasn’t enough, and Josie St. Martin struck once more.

The USA will face the Czech Republic in Sunday’s World Cup final. It’s a huge surprise, because Canada also lost to the Czech Republic in the semi-final by 2-4. Thus, the Girl Lions need to knock off Canada in order to hang the bronze medals around their necks.
