The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte: Sparks release music video with Cate Blanchett

Sparks released the first song from their album of the same name, “The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte” on Thursday (March 2). This will be released on May 26th via Island Records. Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett can be seen in the music video for the release.
“We met Cate Blanchett at the César Awards in Paris last year, when we didn’t know that a year later one of the greatest actresses of our time (and a great personality!) would agree to share her ‘booty-shaking skills’ with it to borrow the first video from our new album THE GIRL IS CRYING IN HER LATTE. Dreams do come true. We’ll sleep well tonight knowing we can forever say we’re in a movie opposite Cate Blanchett!” the brothers said in a statement.
After the album release, Ron and Russell Mael will tour North America and Europe. On June 18th they will play in Berlin’s Tempodrom, for what else tickets gives.
Cate Blanchett is currently nominated for her third Academy Award for her leading role as conductor in “Tár.” Todd Field’s drama has been in German cinemas since Thursday (March 2nd).
