The future of the human being: the energy economy of the brain

Between the years 1200 and 1745 men and women who managed to exceed the age of 21 had a average life of 60 years approximately. He death rate of younger people was from 30% to 40%. This figure varied from one culture to another, except in periods of pandemics or plagues.

The greatest achievement achieved by the human being was to generate cures for the different physical conditions that caused the early death of an individual. That is, the fighting disease and prolonging life, above any other achievement. All this is the product of a vital, central organ, the brain.

Precisely, the brain began to constitute itself as the organ that presented the most challenges for its own self-preservation. So what happens to man in relation to the functioning of the vital organ of his brain?

Human beings tend to function by generating circular behaviors What does this mean? The brain develops a way of optimization and energy saving from repetitive behaviors.

For this reason, the brain, the vital center of everything, seeks to permanently repeat behaviors in order to anticipate the next act and also generate energy savings. The goal of the entire human body is to always achieve a energy optimization for survival.

Said action ends up generating “circular behaviors” which, in turn, become “vicious circles”. Since we get caught up in that constant repetition without realizing it, our brain in automatic mode is unable to discern which behavior is better or worse.

This point is of the utmost importance because it is what causes wear and tear on the vital organ due to lack of exercise. That is to say, today we know that any organ that is not properly treated, exercised and fed correctly, is an organ that can inevitably get sick or deteriorate.

It is for this reason that rhythm changes are so important for the brain. The actions of stopping, observing and reflecting on different situations, making comparisons with other moments in our lives, self-managing detoxification spaces. It is also important to make changes in the stimuli that are presented to achieve new challenges. Inciting emotional rhythms is absolutely necessary.

Anything that helps changing the metrics and times of the mind prolongs and generates longevity of the brain and therefore extends the human life.

Get out of the “vicious circles” and be able to enter the ”virtuous circles” It is the way to achieve a truly healthy life and in turn efficiently prolong the vitality of the brain.

A mentally and emotionally healthy person is capable of having a long and high-quality life.
