The game in the English fourth division between Walsall and Colchester is about to end when there is a strange interruption.
A drone flight led to the interruption of the English fourth division game between Colchester United and FC Walsall. According to the Sun, the object was spotted in the 81st minute. Referee Carl Brook then sent the players off the field.
Both clubs provided information about the events on their X accounts. For example, Walsall wrote: “The game was stopped and both sides left the pitch because a drone appeared and was flying over the stadium.”
A Sky reporter on site also reported on the situation and spoke during the interruption. It was announced in the stadium “that the drone was the reason for the temporary interruption of the game”.

At the same time, he emphasized that he and his colleagues saw the drone above the stadium, “then it drifted out of sight to the other end and we saw it fly down and clearly land.”
The interruption lasted for a few minutes, so there was ultimately nine minutes of added time. However, the result did not change after the drone interruption, the game ended 1-1 after Harrison Burke (64th) put Walsall in the lead and Harry Anderson (68th) equalized for Colchester just a few minutes later.
