The fish shop – neighborhood size

By Stefanie Hofeditz

Fish in the neighborhood – you can find it in Prenzlauer Berg on Schönhauser Allee.

The fish shop with attached restaurant conquered more and more neighboring shops over the years, the rush was actually always large and the seats were scarce, now it is more airy – nice.

At the counter you can buy fresh fish to take home, and food is served at the tables. On the menu: from British fish and chips to burgers – but we share the legendary fish platter, which now costs 26.90 euros per person.

But nobody looks stupid when you take one for three and four of you sit at the table and eat – and it’s always enough, even if there are hungry men there – believe me!

There are different types on the platter – from fried fish in batter, fried salmon to shrimp and squid rings. Served with fried potatoes, garlic bread and French fries. Delicious!

The only drawback: the sauces all taste like they were straight out of the bottle, which is a bit of a shame, but at least the British Sarsons have malt vinegar, I’m reconciled.

The Pinot Grigio (bottle 19.90 euros) goes well and everyone likes it, a fresh, harmless summer wine. A nice shop, a nice evening, gladly again!
