The Football Association wants to organize the Conference League final at the Olympic Stadium.

Chairman Ari Lahti admitted in a special interview with Iltalehti in the summer that Palloliitto intends to apply to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium for the right to organize the Eurocup final.
– The biggest event we can realistically apply for in Finland is the Conference League final, and we will apply for it, Lahti told Iltalehte in Thun before Helmarie’s EC opening.
– Maybe we won’t get it the first time, but after two or three requests, we’ll probably get it in Helsinki.
On Friday, it became certain that Lahti really meant what he said. Uefa received the Balloliitto’s application for the right to organize the 2029 Conference League.
The same openers also have France’s Lille (Stade Pierre-Mauroy), Hungary’s Budapest (Puskás Aréna), Italy’s Turin (Allianz Stadium) and Poland’s Gdańsk (Gdańsk Stadium).
In addition, Kazakhstan wants to nominate either its capital Astana or its economic center Almaty for the competition.
The Balloliitto receives support for its application from both the city of Helsinki and the Olympic Stadium itself, both of which want a top UEFA match for Stadika.

Previously, the 2022 Supercup final was played in Helsinki, where Real Madrid beat Eintracht Frankfurt David Alaban and Karim Benzema with goals 2–0.
