The autonomous police of Catalonia have arrested a player of the Sant Jordi field hockey club for secretly filming his teammates in the locker room.
Possible Spying is an even more punishable crime, because several underage players were recruited from Sant Jordi’s girls’ teams to complete the women’s representative circle.
The club has condemned the player’s act as completely “reprehensible and intolerable”.
Several female players found out in early December when a team member started filming them in the locker room. They immediately filed a criminal complaint.
– The club had no information about this before the matter came to light, it announced.
The matter is now in the hands of the authorities. The club has promised to help in the investigations. In addition, it thanks for the support during this difficult time.
The player accused of the crime is in custody. The rest of the team try to focus on the games after their shock.
