The proposal of the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andriy Turchak to supply certain types of weapons to the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics is absolutely correct. This was stated to RBC by Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.
According to the senator, this should not cause indignation of the international community. “When the United States, Great Britain supplies weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces) of Ukraine, this is normal. Should the people who have been under the blows of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for seven years already be abandoned? By the way, almost 700 thousand Russian citizens live there. Probably, indeed, as Andrei Turchak said, it makes sense to think about providing them with protective equipment, ”said Dzhabarov.
Turchak urged to supply weapons to the DPR and LPR
The senator noted that the “endless extermination” of Russians, Ukrainians and other peoples who live in the DPR and LPR cannot continue indefinitely. “It turns out that there is a systematic shooting of both children and the elderly, they spare no one,” he added.
Turchak’s proposal was also supported by Sergei Tsekov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs. “Of course, Ukraine is preparing for war, the Americans are arming it. If they start a war against Luhansk and Donetsk, what is left to do? We cannot leave them, we must help them. This help can be very different, ”he told RBC.
