The fashion brand Balenciaga sells a bag that resembles a chip bag

The Spanish luxury fashion house Balenciaga launched a bag resembling a chip bag. The clutch model, zippered leather bag is decorated with patterns from the American chip brand Lay’s.

In addition to the striking Lay’s logo, the bag has a subtle Balenciaga logo text and its lining has a silver-plated plastic surface like a chip bag. In addition to the traditional yellow, the bag is available in red, green and blue: that is, in accordance with the popular, different flavor options of the chip brand.

The Lay’s x Balenciaga leather chip bag was seen at Paris Fashion Weeks at the show presenting next spring’s 2023 collections. The fashion show itself also caused an uproar on social media, as the models of the show dramatically walked in huge piles of mud up to their ankles.

As a brand, Balenciaga has spoken before when presenting accessories that have been bent and inspired by everyday objects familiar to many.

We have previously told about the brand’s nearly 200 euro shoelace bent earrings and the brand’s leather bag that borrowed its design language from Ikea’s classic, blue durable bag. The price of the bag in 2017 was over 2000 euros.
