The search should be resumed on Wednesday, but: “It was found that a rescue by helicopter is not possible,” said Areeb Ahmed Mukhtar, a high -ranking local officer in the Ghanche district, the AFP news agency. “The conditions in which it was injured are extremely challenging.” According to the local civil protection authority, the weather conditions in the region were “extremely rough” in the region last week.
Experienced climbers were sent out during a base search campaign to rescue Dahlmeier. Their help was apparently late.
