22-year-old winger Noel Gunler didn’t fit into the Carolina Hurricanes’ NHL crew, and the Swede Expressen– according to the magazine, the man is on his way to Kärppi.

Carolina does not have a partner club in the AHL, so the man would have had to go to the ECHL in North America. So he went looking for better games in Europe.

Gunler is still under contract with Carolina until the spring of 2025. The club booked him in the summer of 2020 with number 41.

Last season, Gunler played 31 games in the AHL club Chicago Wolves with 8+10=18.

Kärpi needs new attackers, as star acquisitions have already left the club during the early season Trevor Mingoia mixed Carl Jakobsson.

The league’s new CEO Mikko Pulkkinen told Iltalehte at the beginning of September about the league’s future goals.
