“Why is the cameraman of the Freedom Foundation “was fired from his job after this takeover,” was the question that was trending on social network Javier Milei He mentioned: “Why should I benefit three inefficient corrupt people against 48 million Argentines?” At that precise moment, it can be seen in the images Manuel Adorni and Karina Milei.

Although the video went viral, the journalistic portal Chequeado denied the veracity of the broadcast recording. In its And he clarified: “That shot does not appear at that time in any of the complete videos, both from the President’s Office and the Libertad Foundation and channels like LN+.”

The truth is that the allegations of corruption that reach the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni became one of the main sources of political tension in the Milei government, with ongoing court cases, crossed accusations and growing legislative pressure that seeks to advance with investigations in Congress.

The most explosive case is the one that revolves around the National Disability Agency (ANDIS) and has the former official as its central figure. Diego Spagnuolo, who was prosecuted by Justice as the alleged head of an illicit association dedicated to collecting bribes and directing public contracts for the purchase of medicines and supplies. In chronological terms, the scandal began in mid-2025 with the leak of audios in which Spagnuolo – the President’s former personal lawyer – described a systematic scheme of illegal returns within the organization.

According to these recordings and with elements later incorporated into the judicial file, the mechanism consisted of the awarding of contracts with surcharges to pharmaceutical companies, which then returned a percentage of the business in the form of bribes. The structure, according to the investigation, contemplated a total return close to 8%, of which 5% was distributed among intermediaries and operators, while the remaining 3% would have been destined for Karina Milei and her political environment, in particular the shipowner. Eduardo “Lule” Menem.

That hypothesis was reinforced by new evidence incorporated in 2026. Judicial experts on internal communications detected messages that explicitly referred to that percentage: “They already deducted the 3,” was one of the phrases found in exchanges between those involved, interpreted by investigators as a direct reference to the alleged payment of bribes linked to the Secretary General of the Presidency. The case, instructed by Judge Sebastián Casanello and prosecutor Franco Picardi, includes dozens of defendants, including former officials and businessmen, with million-dollar seizures and raids that allowed cash and key documentation to be seized.

In parallel, the figure of Manuel Adorni She was involved in another judicial front linked to her personal assets. The investigation, which is being processed in federal Justice, seeks to determine whether the official incurred illicit enrichment from a series of real estate transactions carried out after joining the government. According to journalistic reconstructions, the focus is on the purchase of properties and an increase in assets that would not correspond to their declared income.

Among the elements under analysis are property acquisitions financed through mechanisms considered atypical, such as third-party loans without clear justification, as well as the possible underdeclaration of the real value of the operations. These maneuvers, along with personal expenses and high-cost trips, motivated complaints from opposition legislators and led to judicial measures to trace the origin of the funds. The case also examines the possible omission of assets in sworn statements and the participation of intermediaries in real estate transactions.

The simultaneous progress of both files—that of the bribery network in ANDIS and that of Adorni’s assets—set up a scenario of strong wear and tear for the ruling party, with political repercussions that have already been transferred to Congress. Legislators from different blocks have filed formal complaints and demand explanations for both the alleged bribery scheme that would involve Karina Milei and the financial inconsistencies attributed to the Chief of Staff.
