In the first match of the Basketball Europa League play-offs, the Spanish team Real Madrid beat the Israeli representative Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv 86-82 at home and took the lead 1-0 in the series.
Leading 27-18 in the first quarter of the match played at Movistar Arena, the home team went to the halftime with a 48-33 advantage.
Real Madrid finished the third quarter ahead 70-55 against Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, which could not share the score in the second half, and won the match 86-82.
Facundo Campazzo in the Spanish team played an important role in the victory with 21 points. For the guest team, Antonio Blakeney’s 25 points could not prevent the defeat.
The second match of the series, in which Real Madrid took a 1-0 lead, will be played in Spain on Friday, May 1.
