In an urban scene where The RKT ceased to be a passing fashion To become the dominant pulse of the Argentine night, the names of Pereiremix and Tuti DJ They begin to resonate with their own strength. Gone was the time when the phenomenon of L-Grant monopolized the genre: A new producers’ litter and DJs is rewriting the rules of Creole perreoand he does it from the cabins, but also from the study. His new launch, “those of the #1”, is more than a dance session: it is a declaration of principles. Recorded in the west of the Buenos Aires Conurbano, the track merges cumbia and reggaeton with RKT spirit – that mixture of heavy serious and street cadence – without fear of the experiment or the mass contagion. The guest of this first installment is Salastkbron, an emerging figure of the urban, and its presence ends up strengthening the formula: street, track and mixing.
The creative process between the three was, in the words of Pereiraremix himself, “mystical.” “Santi (Salas) is an incredible artist, the connection he has with music goes beyond the common. With Tuti we already had the beat almost readyhe fell to the studio and when he heard it began to hum and write very quickly. Not only that, but also gave ideas of the track. It was a very nice moment. ”The enthusiasm in his words is not less: the project not only marks a milestone in his career but also consolidates a way of collaboratively producing within the RKT universe, with identity, neighborhood and professionalism.
Pereiraremix did not improvise this path. He began to make music in the middle of the quarantine, when at age 17 he discovered the FL Studio program. “It was one of my life’s best decisions. I always loved music, and during the pandemic, having more time, I was curious about how it was done. I downloaded the program and started practicing. They were moments of pure dedication, 24/7, tested and error.” Today, at 21, he is in what he defines as “one of my best moments” as an artist. His explosion came with “punishment”, Remix that overcame 19 million views, and with the live set “Mega Tripasia”, liturgy in Boliches of Mar del Plata.
Its history with Tuti DJ has a shared destination flavor. “I know Tuti since a child, for our neighborhoods that are practically glued. In 2022 we began to cross ourselves at alley hours already early 2023 we put together a show for people: a battle between djs ‘vs’, fresh and innovative. ”That chemistry led them to build a solid artistic pair, with a style that combines technical precision and a sensitive vision of the beat. Different and better than the other, ”defines it with admiration.
While most urban mainstream disputes the HIT + viralization + Challenge format, this duo bets on another way: the development of its own sound. “My inspiration to start in this was DJ Kbza,” says Pereira. “Today I achieved my sound, and my inspiration goes on the other hand. How to create something fresh every day and not lose the essence of the rhythm of bowling.” There is no repeated formula or desperate search for success. There is a training method and a work ethic that combines the neighborhood with the professionalization of the Beat.
The RKT did not appear out of nowhere. His first spark was lit in the early 2000s in the Dance Boliche of San Martín, where Djs like Pirate and Kbza mixed Cumbia Villera with reggaeton discharged from the web and labeled it as “RKT” to distinguish it in the pendrives. There were born the famous “dances”, remixes that could only be heard live and that cemented the sound identity of the genre. After the closure of the bowling alley in 2012, the movement was paused until, already in 2017, a generation of producers – Dj Tao, Alan Gómez, Dt Bilardo – resumed the legacy and modernized the beats without betraying the essence. The definitive outbreak came in October 2020, when L-Grant and Papu DJ launched “L-Gaga RKT” And they were located in the Top 3 of the Billboard Argentina Hot 100, transforming the style into a mainstream phenomenon. The pandemia – and the confinement – did the rest: with the closed clubs, the artists uploaded their tracks to platforms and the audience viralized them in Tiktok, turning the RKT into homemade soundtrack and choreographies.
Today, the RKT sounds in Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia thanks to the Spotify and YouTube algorithms. Together with L-Grant, names like Kaleb di Masi, fine street, the Noba and Pog Primo consolidated the scene; producers like DT Bilardo and DJ Tao polished aesthetics; and female voices such as Joaqui begin to expand the spectrum of the genre. Meanwhile, An interesting internal border appears with the 420 cumbia, a subgenre brother who shares a rhythmic base but accelerates the tempo and adds Trap winks. The difference is subtle but key: while Cumbia 420 seeks to sound on Spotify, the RKT continues to prioritize the track.
In this context of transformation and effervescence, The pairaremix and tuti DJ duo is located as a catalyst for the new wave. With “those of the #1” they inaugurate a series that promises continuity. Beyond the viral coup, they provide professional study and their own sound: serious tumos, cumbia arrangements and reggaetonera synthesis that does not lose crudeness. The production-steady by Mozart and filmed by Shot by Bokeh-balances neighborhood and hi-fi, track and metric.
Faced with the risk of stagnating in formulas, gender needs innovators That, like Pereiraremix and Tuti DJ, keep the DNA of neighborhood but encourage hybridization and professionalize their producer profile. Meanwhile, the RKT sounds in each corner speaker, each school celebration and each coastal bowling alley. And if you have to bet on who will lead the next explosion, this west zone duo has already raised its hand – and the volume.
