The European Fashion Award 2025 will be awarded on May 15, 2025 as part of the new Munich Fashion Award. The focus of the award is the sustainable promotion of talented design students from all over Europe. The winners: Inside, prize money of 5,000 euros.
Application for the European Fashion Award Fashion 2025 is now possible. Interested students can submit their portfolio, a letter of motivation and their curriculum vitae by March 30, 2025 at the latest. A jury of internationally experienced experts: In the inside, the finalist and finally the award winners: Determine inside and finally determine: Inside.
Simple application via new website
For the European Fashion Award Fashion 2025, the website SDBI.de was put on a completely new technical basis. This makes the application significantly simplified. From now on, applicants can upload their portfolios directly to the website – in one step with the registration. In addition, the content on the website has been restructured and now offer a clear overview of the award, the foundation and the archive category with previous award winners: inside and tenders.
Three categories for students across Europe
The prize advertised across Europe is aimed at particularly talented students of all design disciplines- especially from the areas of textile and fashion design. Students can apply in the following categories:
- Students (until the end of the Bachelor)
- Bachelor: Final papers Bachelor (from May 1, 2023)
- Master: Students and final theses Master/PhD (from May 1, 2023)

The European Fashion Award is supported and financed by Messe München GmbH. The award lives primarily through private commitment – be it in the jury or in the organization. Thus, the creative offspring is largely supported by experienced professionals from the fashion industry.
SDBI – Promoting Fashion Talents Since 1978
The European Fashion Award is one of the most internationally most important funding prices for fashion students and is awarded by the Foundation of the German Clothing Industry (SDBI). The foundation founded in 1978 in Munich is the world’s oldest organization to promote fashion students.
The talents awarded with the European Fashion Award have excellent career prospects and today have excellent career prospects and work for international brands such as Adidas, Fila, Gucci, Hugo Boss, S.Oliver, Zalando and for designers such as Dries van notes or Vivienne Westwood – partly in management positions such as senior designer or Head of Design. Many of the award winners were also honored with other significant prices.
