There will no longer be a complete ban on newly produced cars with a combustion engine in the EU from 2035. The European Commission will present a revision on Tuesday, in which newly produced cars must not be completely emission-free, but must emit 90 percent less CO2 compared to 2021. This leaves room for car manufacturers to bring hybrid cars onto the European market.
