MIlano, 7 Apr. (askanews) – Library of Light is metaphor for knowledgea project for the Fuorisalone of Milan in collaboration with the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Great Brera and with the contribution of Feltrinelli. A journey between science, philosophy and spirituality to bring the light back to the center of the narrative that is accomplished in the courtyard of honor of the Pinacoteca di Brera.
The work of the British artist Es devlin, Famous for his light installations, he wants to represent the encounter between design, art and technology and redefines the concept of library as a place of knowledge and connection: light, metaphor of knowledge, recalls the value kept in the books, creating a symbolic link between inheritance and innovation.
The installation is the reflection of a phrase by Umberto Eco Which returns to the artist’s mind while the high shelves of the Braidense National Library scales: “Books are the compass of the mind, they indicate countless worlds still to be explored”.
