Emotions ran high in the match between the Anaheim Ducks and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The maple leaf shirts were thirsty Radko Gudasin scalp. The Czech colossus was the target of anger because he recently executed the Toronto superstar by Auston Matthews badly.
Gudas was banned for five games for his stunt, but it wasn’t enough for the Toronto players. They wanted to give Gudas a lesson in the rink as well.
The gloves fell off right at the beginning of the match. Gudas got punched Max Domin with at the first start of the match. Gudas allowed Dom to give him a good beating before the judges separated the brawlers.
Gudas got the attention of the Toronto players throughout the match. Michael Pezzetta was kicked out for the unnecessarily severe physical violence he inflicted on Gudas. Anaheim’s captain once again accepted the blows with humility.
Emotions ran high during the match anyway. 61 penalty minutes were given to Toronto in the match, 24 to Anaheim.
Toronto won the match in overtime 5–4. John Tavares scored the winning goal just five seconds before the end of overtime.
Mikael Granlund got one assist.
After the suspension, Gudas returned to the rink for the previous match. Hardly anyone would have blamed the man if he’d been on the sidelines for last night’s game, as the assumption was that the entire Toronto crew was hungry for revenge.
However, Gudas, known for his tough moves on the rink, wanted to face the Maple Leafs.

In addition, Gudas admitted that he played so that the Toronto crew would not direct their anger at another Ducks player.
The Ducks crew showed their support for the captain. For example, the whole team went to throw fist salutes to Gudas in the ice hall, when he had to accept the anger of a Toronto player.
