The Egyptian artist Tul8te does not want you to drive something personal about him. He wants you to listen to his music, not his story. And Tul8te’s music speaks for itself. In the past twelve months, his streams have increased to more than a million monthly listeners.

He quickly established himself as a pioneer, so much that many describe it as the Amr diab of generation Z – a monumental comparison with one of the most influential artists in the Arab world. Tul8tes second album from 2024, “Cocktail Ghena’y”, is characterized by an eclectic sound. Although he originally planned to publish a rap-LP, the project turned into a cocktail from psychedelic rock, bossa Nova, Flamenco and Trap-a shift that he attributes to his chaotic creativity. “It worked because it was authentic and not forced,” he says.

As for the white mask that he wears on photos, Tul8te says that it is more than just a visual element: “It symbolizes freedom. People don’t know how I look or what I have gone through.”
