Natural gas consumption in the Netherlands fell last year as a result of the sharp rise in gas prices. The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) notes that due to the market situation, power stations more often opted for coal, for example, to generate electricity. Industry’s gas consumption was also reduced.
