In this blog beats NRC Thursday, the sixth day of the Beijing Winter Olympics. The Netherlands did not win any medals yesterday. Short trackers Sjinkie Knegt, Itzhak de Laat and Sven Roes were all eliminated on their way to the final in the 1,500 meters, in which South Korean Hwang Dae-heon took the gold. In the women’s race, the pursuit team did qualify for the final, which will be held on Sunday.
On Thursday, snowboard crosser Guido de Blois will come into action, while Sanne in ‘t Hof and Irene Schouten will appear on behalf of the Netherlands at the long track speed skating.
