The drought continues, but the temperature is taking a step back

Temperatures will drop a bit over the weekend, but we shouldn’t expect much rain. This will also be the case next week. Diana Woei of Weerplaza told this on Friday morning in the radio program ‘Wakker!’ on Omroep Brabant.

The temperature will rise to a maximum of 16 degrees this Friday. “Perhaps a small splash of rain will fall here and there from the thicker clouds this morning, but that is not much. Those clouds also contain Sahara dust, again. But luckily it is raining. It’s not much and so the dust stays higher in the atmosphere and gradually moves towards Germany.” In the afternoon Diana expects the sun to appear here and there. There is a moderate northerly wind.

“It will be 16 or 17 degrees on May 5.”

In the weekend we see changing cloudy skies and there is more room for the sun. “Certainly Saturday morning. In the afternoon we will have some cumulus clouds and with a maximum of 14 or 15 degrees it will be a bit colder than we were used to in recent days. The wind is blowing moderately from the north on Saturday. windless.”

Diana has no good news for the farmers, who are looking forward to some more precipitation. “The drought will continue for a while. Maybe a single shower on Wednesday, but that is not much either. We are dealing with a mix of sun and clouds. The temperature will gradually rise again next week, to 16 or 17 degrees on May 5. When that sun comes up, you immediately notice that it is May. That sun burns quite a bit.”
