Karsten Warholm won the third semi-final with a time of 47.09, being the fastest of the semi-finals, but after the race there was a doubt about his crossing the second fence.

The Norwegian’s other leg seemed to go over the side of the fence and not over as it should go according to the rules.

Among other things, an athletics coach Jussi Ihamäki drew attention to the matter in the messaging service X (formerly Twitter).

Also in X, a multiple high jump SC medalist Osku Torro makes it clear that Warholm must be disbanded.

Coaching director of the Finnish Sports Association Jarkko Finni writes in X that the judges make decisions independently, even without protests.

– These days, there is very accurate video tracking in value competitions, and the videos of that run have probably already been reviewed. But I wonder if no one demands a re-inspection / protests, Finni will continue in X.

The jury of the competition has not yet announced its decision.
