The De Wever government wants to postpone the closure of the Tihange 1 nuclear power plant that is planned for this year. Operator Engie, network manager Elia and safety watchdog FANC are skeptical. The previous federal government had previously closed a deal with French operator Engie to keep the two youngest nuclear power stations goal 4 and Tihange 3 open until 2035.
