THEthe Count of Monte CristoAlexandre Dumas’ masterpiece, returns in a new television version broadcast on Rai 1 starting from January 13th. The series, directed by Oscar winner Bille August, is an international co-production with the participation of Palomar, Rai Fiction and France Television. Divided into eight episodes, it tells the story of Edmond Dantès (Sam Claflin), a man unjustly imprisoned in the Castle of If, who, with the help of Abbot Faria (Jeremy Irons), manages to escape and plan a ruthless revenge against those who ruined his life.
