THEintrigues and mysterious deaths in a remote village in Brittany, with a daughter who sets out in search of the truth about the mother who passed away years ago.
The main ingredients of The cliff of the mysteriesthe new French miniseries broadcast tonight at 9.25pm on Rai 1, they are few but effective. And in fact in France it was a success of last summer thanks to its mix of romance and pathos. And well-balanced twists as expected from any thriller plot.
The cliff of the mysteries: the plot of the miniseries
Brittany, Northern France. Lola Morand (Garance Thénault) is a 22-year-old girl, originally from Bordeaux, who goes to the Hotel des Roches Blanches for a job interview.
The hope is to be hired as deputy director but, once the owner arrives on site, the owner Inès Leroux-Battaglia (Gabrielle Lazure) informs her that that job posting never existed.

Disappointed and incredulous, Lola receives an SMS after a few minutes who invites her to buy the local newspaper. On the front page there is an article that evokes the terrible death that occurred exactly 22 years before Manon Jouve (always Garance Thénault), a young woman in all respects identical to Lola.
It still upsets the whole region but the most shocked of all is Lola, as the girl understands that Manon is the mother he never knew.
From that moment on, a series of murders and cross-vendettas will begin which will lead Lola to investigate more and more about her past. Luckily for her, however, she will have by her side handsome police captain Clemént Neuville (Pierre-Yves Bon), with whom the young woman will begin a tormented love story.

Shot in the beautiful scenery of Port-Blanc, between immense beaches and small villages perched on the sea, The cliff of the mysteries it is only apparently yet another miniseries all intrigues and secrets. Because thanks to the cunning of the creator Franck Olivier, fiction succeeds from the very first episode to expand its horizon. Also focusing on the (messed up) lives of its many protagonists.
If indeed the yellow plot is full of twistsat times bordering on verisimilitude, the psychological investigation of the main characters is no less.
