A fairy tale, a thriller of intimacy this first work (but the young filmmaker has three shorts with Raphaël Thiéry, the clay man of the title). Thhiéry, like his character, is a musician, plays the bagpipe and moments in which he isolates himself from the world to devote himself to the instrument are those in which the viewer finds himself only with him and can glimpse its true nature.
We had already met him in The Scarlatte sails Di Pietro Marcello where, as here, he brought an incredible tenderness to the orc fairy tales. His life would flow quietly, between the tyrannies of the mother and those of the postman with whom he entertains a bizarre relationshipif in the manor of which the guardian did not return the owner artist (Devos, Magnifica).

The director has the delicacy of never labeling the desire that arises between them: artist and model, mistress and employee. A complicated and interesting meeting.
