The city of Bruges renews the Julien Saelens athletics track

Last summer, the Belgian athletics championship took place on the Sport Vlaanderen site, and that was also the last major event on the old track. The infrastructure is very outdated and no longer attractive, so the city is finally addressing it. “There will be a new running track, but also a new football field, triple jump, long jump, shot put… Everything and everything will be renewed,” says Alderman for Sport, Franky Demon. Bruges digs deep into its pockets to make everything contemporary.
