Last week Iltalehti reported on the emergency assistance that a coffee shop owner from Helsinki unexpectedly received.
The other week, a woman from Porvoo was a customer at Cafe Taideterassi with her mother, but when she noticed that the entrepreneur was alone and there were customers in line all the time, she decided to help collect the dirty dishes.
In all the hustle and bustle, the coffee shop owner had forgotten to ask for the name of a customer who had unexpectedly appeared for help, so he posted a wanted ad on social media. Now the wanted notice and Iltalehti’s article on the subject produced results.
The benefactor does not want his name to be made public, because he wanted to help out of the pure joy of helping.
– I know from experience how work accumulates when you handle customer service alone. And the situation cannot be resolved without a little help. While sitting in the cafe, I wondered if I should go help and if it would be appropriate, he tells Iltalehte on the phone.
The mystery shopper laughs that he has helped people before, but this cafe help was the first that crossed the news threshold.
The positive attitude of the coffee shop owner also influenced the desire to help.
– If you were to offer help to someone else, the answer might be that you say I can’t do my job, the mystery shopper ponders.
The mystery shopper didn’t want any award for himself, but he thinks it’s great that the cafe owner Jarkko Ikonen wants to thank you for your promptness by making good things go around by donating money to charity.
In the end, the mystery thief chose scouting, because there he learned the culture of helping and the “good job of the day” mentality.
– The patrol does a lot of volunteer work. There you learn to get to work and help a friend.
