Six years after the start of the first season, the story continues: In terms of content, the beginning of the finale follows directly on from the last events of the fourth season. The new US President Steven Calhoun, played by David Andrews, declared a state of emergency. Now Annie has to deal with Homelander and his regime, Kimiko has disappeared and Mothers Milk, Hughie and Frenchie are in captivity in the “Freedom Camp”. From spin-offs to Mexico: The expanded “The Boys” universe

The series was produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. The idea came from the trio Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. Since its initial launch, the series has developed into a cult show, which has already been followed by further film adaptations: the spin-off “Gen V” and the animated anthology version “The Boys: Diabolical”.

Further spin-offs are currently in development: “Vought Rising” will focus more on the characters Soldier Boy and Stormfront. In the future series “The Boys: Mexico” the setting will for the first time not be the universe, but a country on Earth. However, release dates are still pending.
