The Best Beer in Finland is Trippin´ On Spruce Tips from Olari Brewery.
The Finland’s Best Beer 2026 competition has been won by Trippin’ On Spruce Tips beer from Olari Brewery in Helsinki. It also won the flavored beer category.
According to the jury, the beer combines the American traditional IPA with the traditional Finnish taste of kusenkerkka.
– The combination has been successful. Kusenkerkkä works excellently with citrusy and tart American hops. The body of the beer is good and the bitterness is at the style-appropriate level. The dry aftertaste invites the drinker to take another sip, the jury describes the winning beer in the announcement.
39 breweries and 345 beers participated in the Finland’s Best Beer 2026 competition, according to the release.
In the Suomen Paras Olut competition, a 57-person jury consisting of beer industry professionals, beer enthusiasts and beer consumers evaluates the beers submitted to the competition in a blind tasting series by series using the Beer Awards Platform beer competition software.
– In the competition, 15 series winners will first be selected based on a blind tasting, in which case the judges will not see anything about the beer other than the possible alcohol percentage and spices, says the competition director Anikó Lehtinen in the bulletin.
Chief judge of the competition Jussi Rokan according to this year, there were the most participants in the series of lightly hopped light bottom yeast beers.
After the series finals, the final jury, made up of beer industry professionals, will taste the category winners separately and choose the best beer in Finland.
