Swedish musician with a long career Anna-Lie Rydé, 66, quit. Rydé tells about his decision on Facebook.

– I have been able to do what is the best and it is extremely wonderful that my journey as an artist ended with the summer’s wonderful Diggiloo tour. We did our last show in Gothenburg, and with this I leave the spotlight. The circle has closed, Rydé writes.

The artist made his breakthrough in the early 80s with his song Segla på ett molnwritten by what has since become known as Roxette Per Gessle.

Rydé’s other hits are, for example I don’t see Karl and Du vet var jag finns.

Rydé has also participated in Melodifestivalen and has acted and sung in several musicals. The artist has also performed in Finland.

Rydé was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago, and in 2021 she underwent surgery. According to Rydé, the decision to quit is not related to health, and he says he is fine.

In his update, Rydé thanks the listeners and everyone with whom he has worked together.
