“BCL Awards of the Decade” found their owners with the 2025-2026 season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL).
FIBA President Sheikh Saud Al Thani, FIBA Europe President Jorge Garbajosa, FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis, Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and FIBA Europe Board Member Hüseyin Beşok, TBF Secretary General and Basketball Champions League Competitions Commission President Serhan Antalyalı and many guests attended the ceremony held at the Zorrilla Theater Hall in Badalona, Spain.
Hüseyin Beşok presented his award to Unicaja’s Kendrick Perry, who was selected as the “Best Defensive Player of the Season”.
Errick McCollum from Galatasaray MCT Technic was in the second best five of his season.
On the other hand, Pierre-Antoine Gillet, who played in all 10 seasons of the Basketball Champions League, won the special award.
The top five of the “Awards of the Decade”, voted by fans, clubs, players, media representatives and Champions League employees, included Giorgi Shermadini (La Laguna), Vojtech Hruban (ERA Nymburk/Cholet Basket), Kendrick Perry (Nizhny Novgorod/Unicaja), Kevin Punter (Rosa Radom/AEK BC/Virtus Bologna) and Marcelinho Huertas (La Laguna).
La Laguna Head Coach Txus Vidorreta won the award for the best head coach of the decade.

Season’s Best Five: Jerrick Harding (Rytas Vilnius), Frank Bartley (AEK BC), Ricky Rubio (Joventut Badalona), Raiquan Gray (AEK BC), Giorgi Shermadini (La Laguna)
Second Best Five of the Season: Errick McCollum (Galatasaray MCT Technic), Marcelinho Huertas (La Laguna), Jack Kayil (Alba Berlin), Chris Duarte (Unicaja), Arturas Gudaitis (Rytas Vilnius)
Best Young Player of the Season: Jack Kayil (Alba Berlin)
Best Defensive Player of the Season: Kendrick Perry (Unicaja)
Best Coach of the Season: Dragan Sakota (AEK BC)
