The James Webb continues to provide large doses of information to scientists

Thanks to this, it will be possible to better study our neighboring planet

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is taking the first “pictures” of the planets of our solar systemthe latter being the most relevant for their study.

The NASA and ESA have shared the first pictures of marstaken on September 5, which promise new findings about the composition of the planet’s atmosphere.

Data from the NIRCam infrared camera has already brought to light some very promising results. For example, one of the largest basins on the planet has a darker image than the nearby territories. In addition, they have also been able to easily determine the Mars atmospheric compositionthanks to the spectrographs that the JWST has incorporated.

Taking the images has not been easy. Mars has become one of the brightest objects that can be observed through the James Webb Space Telescope. For this reason, it is difficult to investigate as this brightness prevents your measuring devices from working properly by not being able to “photograph” the surface easily.
