The Athlete’s Foot increases annual sales by seven percent

The sneaker and sportswear retailer The Athlete’s Foot achieved a solid increase in sales in the 2023 financial year.

The retail chain’s revenues reached 593 million US dollars (549 million euros), exceeding the previous year’s level by seven percent, the parent company Arklyz Group AG, based in Stans, Switzerland, announced on Tuesday.

In the current year, The Athlete’s Foot will continue its global expansion strategy, it said in a statement. The retailer is currently active in more than 30 countries with a total of 550 branches and its own online shops.

Arklyz took over the chain from the Intersport retail association in the summer of 2021. The group has now strengthened its portfolio through further acquisitions. In 2022 he took over the sneaker specialist Asphaltgold. Most recently, Arklyz acquired the German shoe supplier Lloyd Shoes GmbH in January.
