Italian orienteering Matti Debertolis died in China.

29-year-old Italian orienteering Matti debertolis is dead. He died in the World Games in Chengdun, China. The organizers of the competition have confirmed the matter on their website.
Debertolis was in the midst of a mid -range competition on Friday 8 August. The Italian was rushed to the hospital for immediately receiving treatment. He is said to have died on Tuesday 12 August.
The cause of death has not been made public. At the time of the competition, there was a 43 degree temperature in China.
Italian magazine La Gazzetta Dello Sportin According to the debertolis competition, it progressed as planned until his GPS positioner stopped.
Debertolis recently competed in July at the World Orienteering World Cup in Kuopio. The long distance race was 31th and 47th in the middle distance.
