On Wednesday, the Kainuu District Court sentenced a 55-year-old coach to pay fines and compensation for two hazards.
The acts took place in Sotkamo on November 26, 2024.
The coach gave his two coaches intravenously a Cytoflav product, and a glucose and a product called Ryboxy. The measures were taken at the coach’s initiative, even though he is not a doctor or a medical professional.
Athletes competing in skiing species agreed to action.
The coach was wrongly administered. He caused a life -threatening and hospitalization space for athletes. Athletes began to vomit, high fever and their blood pressure dropped rapidly. The two were taken to hospital.
One of the athletes was three days to be treated in the intensive care unit. He still has heart problems and suffers from insomnia.
Because of the illness, the athlete is unable to actively practice skiing. Doctors cannot judge how his recovery is progressing or whether he is completely improved.
One of the athletes, on the other hand, has competed abroad this season in biathlon.
The coach’s procedure was found to have been grossly negligent. The man admitted that he had acted in writing as described in the prosecution. He was sentenced to pay 68 daily fines, making his income 408 euros.
The coach was ordered to pay the athlete in intensive care EUR 4,000 for pain, ache and temporary harm and € 1,000 for suffering. The judgment is not final.

Cytoflav and the Rybox (also written by ribes) are not on the list of Wada doping agents in the world.
