The presenter and director of the first edition of the news had to apologize in full direct after were wrong when placing several provinces of Castilla y León when reporting intentional fires that plague the Spanish geography.
To be more exact, the presenter commented on how the fire was affecting Burgos, Zamora and Ávila, supporting her message with a map that was shown on the big screen of the Atresmedia chain’s news set. Although she was initially unaware of them, many Twitter users noticed that the labels of Burgos and Zamora were not located in the correct province, but had been exchanged.
“On the map that we have shown you before, the provinces were poorly placed, Burgos was where it is Zamora and Zamora where is Burgos, so we apologize“, Golpe said in full direct before moving on to the next topic.
This error occurred just before Sandra Golpe went on vacation after closing a new season as good data on Antena 3 Noticias 1, the leading desktop news program for five seasons with its best data in 15 courses after averaging 21.5 % screen share and 2.4 million viewers.
ANDn the month of June, Sandra Golpe brought together 2,242,000 viewers on average and 21.0% of share, registering a slight drop compared to the data recorded in May.
