Profile and assessment – the 12th stage of the Tour de France 2025 at a glance
Assessment: It took long enough, but on the 12th stage, Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard and Co. can finally let their well -trained muscles play. There is a real hammer mounting stage in the Pyrenees. It starts moderately, on the first about 130 kilometers you can roll up and tactical preparations are possible. Do you send a noble helper into an outlier group? Do you prefer to hold the field together? It starts around 50 km in front of the finish with the Col du Soulor, which is approached via Ferrieres. After a departure of the Col de Borderes, before the final hammer is imminent: over 13.6 kilometers it goes up to Hautacam, the average incline on this enormously heavy mountain is 7.8 percent. In 2022, Jonas Vingegaard recently won here.
