Keanu Reeves recently named Canadian pop group Alvvays as one of his favorite groups because: “I like good pop songs and a kind of ingenuity in them. I think the lead singer [Molly Rankin] is great… And I love the textures in it – bass guitar, drums and their energy.”

Keanu Reeves’ favorite band: Alvvays from Canada

The band he named in an interview with NME hails from Canada and consists of Rankin (vocals and guitar), Kerri MacLellan (keyboards), Alec O’Hanley (guitars), Abbey Blackwell (bass) and Sheridan Riley ( Drums). Alvvays was founded in 2011. Her self-titled debut album was released in 2014, her second album, Antisocialites, was released in 2017 and won the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year.

The current album, “Blue Rev”, was released in October 2022. Does Reeves already own the latest work? “I bought her new record digitally, but I don’t have it on vinyl,” the actor admits in an interview with NME.
