That’s the reason why Flake doesn’t appear on “Ina’s Night”.

The recorded conversation with Rammstein musician Christian “Flake” Lorenz will not be broadcast for the time being. The main thing is not to confuse the audience.

In view of the discussion about Rammstein and singer Till Lindemann, the ARD late night show “Inas Nacht” does not want to broadcast a recorded conversation with Rammstein musician Christian “Flake” Lorenz. The NDR editorial team decided not to schedule the conversation for the current season, said the Norddeutsche Rundfunk (NDR) on Sunday evening on request.

“When the conversation was recorded, the current allegations were not yet publicly known – therefore Christian “Flake” Lorenz could not be questioned or comment on it,” said the broadcaster as a reason. “The current broadcast of an interview in which Christian “Flake” Lorenz is not asked about the debate about Rammstein does not seem appropriate to the editors at the moment and would arouse false expectations among viewers.”

According to NDR, the show planned for August 24th on the first broadcast will now feature a conversation with the musician Sven Regener and the music performances by Element of Crime and the British musician Birdy.

The Lindeman case

In the past few days, several women – some anonymously – had made allegations against Lindemann. They described situations that they sometimes found frightening. Young women were selected during concerts and asked if they wanted to come to the after show party. According to descriptions by some women, there were also sexual acts.

Lindemann had rejected allegations against himself. He has his interests represented by a lawyer. “Serious allegations against our client were made by various women on social networks, especially on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube,” his lawyers said in a statement. “For example, it has been repeatedly claimed that women at Rammstein concerts were drugged with knockout drops or alcohol to enable our client to perform sexual acts on them. Without exception, these allegations are untrue.”

According to the reports, the Berlin public prosecutor’s office has initiated preliminary proceedings against Lindemann. If the public prosecutor’s office becomes aware of a suspicion of a crime, they must investigate. Media reports can be the trigger for this. The presumption of innocence applies until the investigation is completed. The record label Universal Music Entertainment has temporarily suspended its marketing and promotional activities for Rammstein.
