That’s how creepy “Thriller” is without music

Music videos “cleansed” of music are becoming increasingly popular because many of the clips then appear absurd: often only breathing can be heard, dance steps – involuntarily funny moments arise.

The “Thriller” version provided by “Heat Vision”, released for the 59th birthday of Jackson, who died in 2009, is actually even more disturbing than the original. Without music, the zombies in John Landis’ 14-minute short film are almost more menacing, moving completely to their own beat, and their moans can be heard louder. These creatures, created by Rick Baker in 1983, look better than today’s undead from “The Walking Dead” anyway.

And of course you can still hear it, more clearly than ever: Michael Jackson’s singing, because the voices are still there.

The only drawback: oblique lightning effects that were not visible in the original.
