‘That flail lay in bushes for four days!’

Rob Kemps is completely pissed off at Edwin Smulders, the most famous paparazzo in the country. He pukes on the husband of Shownieuws star Anouk Smulders. “That flail was in our bushes!”

It caused quite a surprise in the spring: Rob Kemps was pontifically on the cover of Story with his new sweetheart Stephanie Klaver. Heavily posed. Laughing, holding hands and for dessert they kissed each other on the mouth. And so they knew all along that the lens of paparazzo Edwin Smulders was focused on them.

Rob pukes on Edwin

A middle finger to his ex-girlfriend Miriam Swinkels, they thought. And for that reason Rob was really tackled very hard in RTL Boulevard. Bridget Maasland then explained how that works, the contact between a celebrity and a paparazzo. And in the end, Rob denied that he got paid for the photos.

Now, six months later, Rob pukes all over the paparazzo in a major interview with it AD Mezza. The newspaper asks him whether he had indeed consciously posed for Edwin. “That guy spent four days in the bushes with us! What are you doing then? At some point you have to go outside; Then he takes that photo, doesn’t he?

‘What a bastard!’

So Rob is really not happy with Edwin. He didn’t want to have his picture taken at all. “But then I hear again: it is posed. Well no, that bug has been lying here in the garden for days. And no, we didn’t ask for any money for it either.”

The AD does not ask why Rob started making out with Stephanie if he really didn’t want to be in a photo. Rob then rubs it in for the umpteenth time to his ex Miriam that he is now ‘at his happiest’ with Stephanie. “I’m so proud of her. It’s a love I’ve never felt before. We have a real connection.”

Cheated

According to Evert Santegoeds and the juice channels, there was some overlap between his previous relationship and his current relationship with Stephanie. In other words: they state that he has cheated. “Do you believe the juice channels? You know, to cheat you have to be in a relationship and I didn’t have one at the time,” Rob says.

He continues: “The relationship between my ex and I had already been over for several months, but we were still looking for housing for her. That was not arranged overnight. It wasn’t until later that I fell in love with Stephanie. I can handle a lot, but the moment it is written that I would cheat or be a bad father, it affects me.”

Rest in the tent

Why did Rob never deny that? “We wanted peace and quiet in the tent. And so much nonsense was written. I read that we had been together for nineteen years, while my ex already had children aged fourteen and eleven. The facts were dealt with so briefly that I had little need to explain anything.”

“Besides, it’s private, isn’t it? This is nobody’s business,” he concludes.
